I started meditating when I was 17, and like many people, struggled with what I found in my own mind. I didn’t imagine meditation practice would be anything more than a “good thing to do sometimes,” but over 25 years later, I can say that my life and work is transformed because of the practice.

I didn’t set out to be a meditation teacher or coach, but I have found myself in teaching professions in one way or another over my varied career. My background includes over a decade as a wilderness educator leading multi-day expeditions, as well as teaching movement practices on retreats, in yoga studios, and online, creating intensive meditation-based programming for teens and young adults through Inward Bound Mindfulness Education, among others. Teaching meditation and supporting others to meet the challenges and joys of life through awareness, care, and an orientation towards freedom has become my passion.

In addition, I’m deeply inspired to help create systems change that honor and recognize the inherent value of life (human and more-than-human). Ever since I was a young child, I’ve been deeply impacted by the unique human suffering that arises with systems of oppression. I am committed to deconstructing oppressive frameworks wherever I find them - through relationships, organizations, and most importantly where they have seeded themselves in my own mind. My particular pathway for this work includes working with people and organizations to create collaborative strategies that better meet the needs and humanity of contributors, and that help us align our work with our deepest values.

I’d love to connect and see what work we can do together.
