  • Keeping Our Humanity in the Midst of Crisis

In the midst of multiple devastating crises, and the everyday pull to disconnect, attuning to the heart is a radical act that supports love and justice. Our emotions remind us about what matters, and practice can help us turn toward and honor what is difficult so that we may hear the heartbeat of the world and respond in kind. In this course we will touch the terrain of the heart: exploring the nature of grief, anger, love, and loss, while cultivating our capacity to stay connected and awake to continue our efforts toward collective liberation.

Join Sara Shapouri and Khalila Gillett on zoom for this 5 week investigation into meeting the wisdom of emotions. We’ll explore practices for honoring and listening to difficult emotions, tracking our capacity and resourcing to build resilience, and opening the heart towards tenderness and joy.

    We’ll meet for 5 weeks on Wednesdays 4-5:30pm PT April 10 - May 8.

    Sliding Scale: $175 - $375.

Accessibility option: pay what you can.

  • An immersive on-site program for young adults 18-25. The Contemplative Semester is rooted in ancient Buddhist philosophy and practice, applied to what it means to be a young person alive today. The 14-week curriculum is structured around the Noble Eightfold Path that countless human beings have traveled to transform anxiety and suffering into happiness, peace and freedom.
